What is EMDR Therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy approach that helps your brain process difficult experiences so they stop triggering the same intense reactions. Instead of talking in circles about the past, EMDR works directly with how your mind and body store those memories.

Through guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR activates the brain’s natural healing processes — allowing you to experience the memory without the same emotional weight.   8. Reevaluation: Checking progress and identifying next steps.
