Ebony Trotter, Licensed Professional Counselor at Crescita Counseling in Colorado Springs

Therapist, writer, and a firm believer that healing can hold space for laughter, too. Outside of sessions you'll find me with friends and family, staying active, bowling, exploring something new, or enjoying a quiet, grounding moment at home.

I became a therapist because I've seen, again and again, what supportive relationships and a little compassionate understanding can do for a person's life. I wanted to help people navigate the hard stretches while discovering their own strength and resilience along the way.

People who know me describe me as warm, genuine, and easy to talk to. I bring empathy, curiosity, and a sense of humor into the room, and I try to meet you exactly where you are — no judgment, no rushing — while still gently encouraging growth.

How I work

I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, stress, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I especially love working with people who are ready to understand themselves more deeply and explore the patterns that have kept them stuck.

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed — I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused and Person-Centered therapy, Narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based practices, and I tailor the work to your goals, strengths, and pace. I balance empathy with gentle honesty and accountability, because therapy doesn't have to feel intimidating to create real change.

My hope is that you leave each session feeling a little more seen, heard, and empowered — and a little more like yourself.
