Our office is in Colorado Springs, but a lot of our clients never set foot in it. They live in Castle Rock or Cañon City or Grand Junction. They have two kids and no childcare. They're on a base with an hour of free time and no interest in driving downtown. Or they just talk more easily from their own couch.

Online therapy at Crescita is the same work we do in person, with the same therapists. Most of what we offer works by video, including EMDR, parts work, and many teen sessions.

The one rule: you need to be physically in Colorado during each session. That's a licensing requirement, not ours.

How it works

Simpler than you'd think.

  1. Free 20-minute call. We talk through what's going on and which therapist fits.
  2. Paperwork online. Intake forms go through a secure client portal before your first session.
  3. A link before each session. You click it at your appointment time. No app to learn.
  4. Find a private spot. A closed door, headphones, a car in a quiet lot. Wherever you can talk freely.

Common questions

Does it actually work online?

Is online therapy as effective as in person?

For most people and most concerns, yes. Research on video therapy for anxiety, depression, and trauma has been encouraging for years. What matters most is the fit with your therapist, and that carries over to a screen just fine.

Can you do EMDR online?

Yes. Instead of following a hand in the room, you might follow a moving dot on screen or tap on your own shoulders. Katie offers EMDR both in the office and online. More on our EMDR therapy page.

What about teens and kids?

Video works well for most teens. Younger kids often do better in the room, where play is part of the work. We'll talk through what makes sense for your child on the free call. See child and teen therapy.

Can I mix online and in person?

Lots of people do. Start in the office and switch to video when life gets busy, or the other way around.

What does it cost?

The same as in-person sessions. A sliding scale is available. Details on the rates and insurance page.
